A Quick Card For a Friend

Evening Everyone,
Just been having a little sneaky crafting time while the football is on. It's a good friends birthday tomorrow and since we had the present sorted about two weeks ago I thought tonight would be the night to make a nice card.....

This was the first time I've got to have a play with the new sets of Promarkers I got last week. Tonight I've used the Summer set to highlight the "Happy" stamp from Unity (love them!) and matched it with some paper from Basic Grey's Pheobe collection. The "birthday" was stamped using the Quickutz Sophisicate Alphabet stamps. I absolutely love these stamps as they are so dinky and cute! A little bit of ribbon, a couple of Prima flowers and a rhinestone brad from Making Memories and there we have it.
We've bought our friend a collection of fab nail varnishes in a rainbow of colours complete with some nail bling to go with them. I thought the rainbow of colours on the card would be a perfect match.
We have a 50th Birthday party to go to on Saturday so I best get started on that card next, followed by a few family Birthdays happening early next month. I'm loving all this crafty time I just HAVE to do! LOL
Thanks for stopping by. Take care. X X

I Hope Everyone Had a Lovely Valentines Day!

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines weekend and got everything you wished for. I never used to celebrate Valentines Day much but now I am so happy I find that I want to show the people I love how much they mean to me. Don't get me wrong, I try and do that everyday but on Valentines Day I like to make it extra special. This year I was made to feel extra special though since Trace cooked me a lovely meal complete with Champagne and pudding. It was so delicious and made me feel very loved indeed.
This Valentines Day I gave Trace a little mini book with memories of our trip to London when we stayed in a gorgeous 5-star hotel in Chelsea and went for a tour around Chelsea Football Club's ground, Stamford Bridge. Thankfully she loved it.
Looking at my Calender I've noticed I have a few cards to make in the next week or so. I'm feeling really inspired at the moment. My only wish is that the housework and especially the mountain of ironing would magically disappear so I could get crafting! LOL Oh well, such is life.
And on that note I shall thank you for stopping by and ask that you all take care. x x

~~ Meet The Newest Addition To Our Family!! I'm Such A Proud Aunty! ~~

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday Trace's Sister, Linda, gave birth to a gorgeous baby girl called Jessika Jayne. Both Mum and Baby are doing fine and we hope they can come home either today or tomorrow. Trace and I are both looking forward to giving some Aunty cuddles. Here's a picture of the beautiful Jessika....

Before she was born Trace and I put together a big baby hamper and took it round but yesterday we just couldn't resist getting a little soft kitty and a baby grow that says EST. 2010. Toooo cute! Last night I sat down and made a card with a Get Sketchy sketch as inspiration....

From that sketch, here is my card....

  • Card Base: Kanban
  • Patterned Paper : From my Scraps Box
  • Decoupage: Jolly Nation
  • Rik Rak: Bazzill "Just The Edge"
  • Crown: Heidi Swapp
  • Cloth Label: Junkitz
Thanks for looking. Take care. x x

Finally Back!! Woop Woop!!

Hi Everyone,
After all the drama of my computer going down and the madness of life in general, I have finally managed to get everything sorted and get back online. Mind you for how long I don't know since I've read an email yesterday that said that blogger is going to be shutting down it's FTP service on blogs???? Apparently they are going to talk us FTP users through changing over to the way they want us to publish but I must admit to being a little worried about the changeover. Watch this space. Mind you this change may mean that I can pimp my blog up with some funky backgrounds which I've always wanted to do.
Anyway I have a lot of news and a lot of work to do on my blog so I best get started posting up cards and altered art that I've done recently. Thanks for stopping by. Take care. x x
