Afternoon Everyone,
Today I've been at work since 6am and have only just got home. I did manage to get some crafting done at the weekend but by the time I'd finished it was dark so I wasn't able to get a good shot of anything. Thankfully now I have a chance to upload them.
Firstly, the group of cards I made on Sunday. The "60" one is for Trace's Nan and Granddad who are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary on the 20th of August. Such a wonderful achievement. The pink and green condolence card is for our friend Briarlie and her family who lost her Dad last week and the other card is for Trace's boss, Anita, who lost her step mum last week. We are all thinking of you.
Once I'd finished my cards I was inspired to do the Candy Shoppe Designs Warm It Up Pre-challenge. We were challenged to use only warm colours and if we decided to do a scrapbook layout we had to use the sketch provided. It really made me think because I've never really thought along the cool or warm colours line. I decided to use some papers and embellishments from the My Minds Eye Out and About Range as well as some Bohemia Papers.
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned Paper: Bohemia and My Minds Eye
Overlay: Bohemia
Die Cuts: My Minds Eye
Blossom: Bohemia
Letter Stickers: Making Memories
We were lucky enough on our last trip back to Australia to see a baby Koala. The ranger told us it was a really rare site so, of course, I took loads of pictures. Then when the baby Koala looked right at my camera I was so chuffed. I though since it was a warm it up challenge that these pictures were pretty warm and cuddly.
Then I had a fantastic bit of news. I went onto the Candy Shoppe Designs blog to check I had done everything for the challenge only to find that the lovely girls over there have awarded me a prize in August! I was gobsmacked! It's a gorgeous Tough Dude kit and, since I have a Tough Dude six year old I'm already thinking of the pages I can scrap. Can't wait! Thank you so much Lynnette and all the girls over at Candy Shoppe Designs. Here's a pick of the gorgeous kit....
Anyway, that's all my news for today. I'm back into work tomorrow but I'm hoping to get some crafty time tomorrow because there's a layout I really want to scrap that's been floating around in my head the last few days. Thanks for popping by. Take care. x x
