Life is Good at Anonymous Stamps

Hi Everyone,

There's a new challenge over at Anonymous Stamps for July. This month's theme is Life is Good! I thought, since moving into your first home, is always one of the best times of your life, I'd use the Home Sweet Home image.....

Then I've decoupaged the image by printing out four copies of the image and layering them up.....

I've coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pens and then fussy cut out the layers.

So head on over to Anonymous Stamps and check out the new challenge. We'd love to see what you create. Thanks for stopping by. Take care x x

A New Free Image and Challenge over at Anonymous Stamps

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by! Its June already! I've been a bit clumsy last month and managed to fracture my foot. I've never broken a bone before so had no idea what I'd done. I just assumed I'd pulled a tendon or something. It was only two weeks later when my doctor sent me for an x-ray to "rule out a fracture" that I was transferred immediately to accident and emergency and told I'd fractured my foot!! I now have a very fetching boot to wear for the next 4-5 weeks! Not being able to go anywhere is driving me crazy but to look on the bright sided I'm just glad I didn't fracture my arm because then I wouldn't be able to colour or craft which would be so much worse.

On a lighter note, there's a new challenge over at Anonymous Stamps. This month we were lucky enough to play with a new image which is now available for free on the blog. We'd love to see your creations using this image or any other Anonymous Stamps image using the theme Summer Lovin' as inspiration. Here is my card....

I decided to keep this card simple and let the image speak for itself. The sentiment is hand drawn as I wanted to get the spacing on the scroll just at the right angle. Thanks for stopping by. Take care x x

Crafting with La-La Land Crafts and Kit and Clowder

Hi Everyone,

I hope the weather has been nice where you've been. I have a number of friends in Australia and it's coming into their winter over there. I do love Autumn in Melbourne with all the leaves falling. It's so beautiful.

The weather in the UK has been changable lately. One day its lovely and warm and the next it's pouring with rain. Hopefully the fine weather will be here to stay for a while soon.

Recently I decided to enrol in some online colouring classes at Kit and Clowder. I've been colouring for quite a while but always believe I have more to learn and these classes have already shown me different ways of colouring which I think have improved the detail I'm able to get.

This weekend Kit and Clowder teamed up with La-La Land Crafts. They have come gorgeous new images and I just couldn't resist as one in particular will be perfect for a friend who is going to Japan for her holidays this year. Here is my card:

The colours I've used to colour her are as follows:

  • Azure
  • Powder Blue
  • Cornflower
  • Black
  • Tulip Yellow
  • Gold
  • Sunflower
  • Buttercup
  • Burgundy
  • Crimson
  • Cardinal Red
  • Coral
  • Sunkissed Pink
  • Dusky Rose
  • Blush
  • Pale Pink
  • Cool Grey 4
  • Cool Grey 3
  • Cool Grey 2
  • Cool Grey 1
  • Tan
  • Caramel
  • Burnt Sienna

I sometimes look at an image after I've finished colouring and can't believe how many colours go into one little image but I just love the detail they provide.

Everything else was already in my stash and I managed to use some pieces from my scraps pile too. I'm determined at the moment to try and use my scraps rather than cut into another piece of card stock or patterned paper.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by. Take care x x

Hollywood Glamour at My Besties

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone in the UK is enjoying the Bank Holiday long weekend? I don't know about you but I always try and enjoy my Bank Holidays with my friends and family as well as some extra crafty time. Being Australian there's usually a BBQ thrown in there somewhere too. :)

Today, I've had the pleasure of crafting with a My Besties image. I've had my eye on these gorgeous images for a while but this is the first time I've had a chance to play with them. The challenge was Hollywood Glamour (which I love!) and I thought I'd do a Wizard of Oz themed card as it's one of my favourite films and an all-time classic! Here is my card....

Isn't she cute!?! I had such fun colouring her and I've started to try and incorporate more greys into my colouring to provide depth. I was really pleased with how she turned out. Anyway, I'm off to bed now as I have hopefully have another fun filled day tomorrow with family and friends as well as a BBQ. Thanks for stopping by. Take care x x

Anything Goes at Anonymous in May!

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter and got to do what you love, whether its spend time with family and friends or chilling out with some crafty time.

This month's challenge over at Anonymous Stamps is an Anything Goes challenge. For this challenge I got to play with an awesome new image called "From a Rose." I love this image as it reminds me a little of a tattoo. I decided to use some of the new Crafter's Companion Neenah kraft colouring card to colour this image. I love how it turned out...

We'd love to see your creations using an Anonymous Stamps image. Why not pop over to the blog as all the images are free!

Thanks for stopping by. Take care x x

Easter over at Anonymous Stamps

Hi Everyone,

It's starting to warm up over here in the UK. I love this time of year. All the flowers and blossoms coming out really lift my spirits. I had a very nice conversation with a four year old the other day about how daffodils droop in the rain and then pop back up when they absorb the water. He then asked me how daffodils grow on Mars which was a little interesting to try and explain to a four year old. Even my son Ethan said to me "That's a bit technical ain't it Mum???" lol

Anyway, getting back on track, This month's challenge over at Anonymous Stamps is Easter! Sian has designed some great images for the theme which are, of course, free!! I was lucky enough to play with one of them for my project:

I tried to go a little out of my comfort zone for this card as I usually like straight lines. I've still got the straight lines but they're at a jaunty angle and I've tried for more of a collage look. The teapot and all the flowers have been decoupaged and butterflies all have their wings raised.

We'd love to see your take on the challenge. You can find all the details here. Thanks for stopping by. Take care x x

Leap into Spring at Anonymous Stamps and a Design Team Call

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe we're in March already! This year is just flying by! Quite scary really. I'm loving the longer days though as I hate walking to work in the dark.

The other day I was on my way to work and noticed all the birds tweeting and little buds on the trees. It really gives me a lift after a dark, cold winter.

I think that's why the theme over at Anonymous Stamps is....

Leap into Spring!!

Its one of my favourite seasons as I love all the flowers that come out. I think that's why I chose Strawberry Blossom for my image this month...

I like to decoupage images so I printed out the image twice and coloured it then decoupaged each leaf and blossom to provide dimension. I was really pleased with how it turned out and was able to send it to Trace's Auntie for her Birthday.

We'd love to see what Spring-themed creations you can come up with and if you fancy being a member of the Anonymous Stamps Design Team then we'd love to hear from you. Details are on the Anonymous Stamps blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Take care x x
